Collection: Champ

They've been watching Lake Champlain for a long time. The Abenaki people knew something lived in those waters long before European settlers arrived and started keeping records, and the records they kept are surprisingly hard to dismiss. Over 300 reported sightings spanning more than two centuries, from Samuel de Champlain's own account in 1609 to fishermen, ferry passengers, and tourists who still report something large moving just below the surface today. Vermont and New York both share the lake, and both states have at various points passed resolutions to protect the creature, just in case.

America has its own monster. It just happens to live in a lake most people forget to check.

Our Champ collection honors the most documented lake cryptid in North American history, a creature that has outlasted every explanation thrown at it and still surfaces, literally and figuratively, whenever the water gets quiet enough. For those who know that Nessie gets all the press, but Champ has been here longer.
